SARAIBAS

A land, a village, a language

History:

In 1969, a cultural-musical project begins that would be know in 1978 as "Saraibas". The main aims that we had and followed keeping them nowadays are the defense and the promotion of the galician language and culture, through out the music, but not only on the stages, also on the daily life.

The lirics of our songs come from classic Galician poets, unknow poets, texts of the people and a high percentage of own creation.

Lots of those poems refer to social, political and cultural matter of Galicia with a "retranca gallega", sattire and hot treatment.

Therefore, we are called and we feel, a "compromised" group.
